I think it was a great investment in the life of our family and the future of our children.
I contacted Kat shortly after my second child was born and the relationship with the older one was not good. On the one hand, I felt that I did not have time for it, and on the other, I knew that it can’t be like that any longer. Tired, overwhelmed with duties and a pandemic, I couldn’t cope with my anger and calmly respond to the needs of a 3-year-old. From the very first sessions, my husband and I could see that everything was starting to go in the right direction. Working on regulating my emotions, responding to the children’s needs, and also to my own needs, was and still is quite difficult, but Kat provided me with a very good set of exercises, strategies and changed my approach to several important things. I believe things will get much easier with time. Kat was a wonderful guide and mentor. I think it was a great investment in the life of our family and the future of our children.

I feel better connected with my children and now when the tantrums flare I have solid strategies I can use to help both the kids and myself remain calm.
After two pandemic lockdowns I found myself in a situation where I was not communicating with my children effectively and it was impacting our relationship. I recognized that I needed help to realign myself with my values in gentle parenting and reconnecting with my children. During the program I’ve started to communicate with my children in a style that I preferred: less shouting, more communication, more connection and more understanding for each other. What I really loved about working with Kat was that she was so organized and that helped me to be on time and show up each week for our scheduled appointments. I love that Kat kept track of our appointments, I had them numbered and dated. That level of organization on her part helped me stay focused. I also appreciated having a space where I felt safe to share my experiences. I learned that it was important to meet my needs as a person and as a mother in order to be able to help me with my children’s needs. I found the weekly coaching sessions over 3 months really helped me to carve out a space for myself and recognize and validate my needs as a mom, so that I could better connect with my children. Kat provided a safe space of no judgement where I was able to share my parenting experience and get advice on how best to resolve some tricky situations with three young children. I feel better connected with my children and now when the tantrums flare I have solid strategies I can use to help both the kids and myself remain calm. Most importantly, that hour a week was my sacred space. Kat communicated clear boundaries, was organized, efficient and always helpful, which also helped me to show up on time with consistency despite my chaotic life. Thank you for this valuable time and coaching.

Now in our family we talk about our needs, resources and feelings. There is more patience, respect and understanding.
I signed up for Kat’s program when I was mentally and physically exhausted. I was a passive observer of my life. A thousand thoughts swirled in my head every day. This resulted in high level of stress, fatigue and tension. During my time with Kat, areas important to me were gradually discovered. Sessions with Kat brought new thoughts, new look at myself or a situation. Kat helped me understand that the mother takes care of herself first; only then she is able to take care of her children. Kat is a professional. Starting from the punctuality and timeliness of our sessions, to the approach to mothers – full of understanding, without criticism and evaluation, with noticeable support and trust. Thanks to Kat, I learned to approach myself with more understanding and tenderness. I realized that a good mother is not a perfect mother, but one who can ask for help or express what she needs. Now in our family we talk about our needs, resources and feelings. There is more patience, respect and understanding.
I definitely recommend consulting Kat. It’s one of the best investments in yourself, in your life and your own development. Now, even if there are moments of tension, I know how to deal with them. If I were to do this over again, I would have contacted Kat much sooner.

This program helped me overcome burnout, pay attention to myself and my needs, which made me have more strength and joy in everyday life.
When working with Kat, I liked the fact that she saw my needs where I was completely unaware of them. Each session led me to understand myself and take care of my needs. Thanks to this awareness, I can help my children meet their inner needs and regulate their emotions that are difficult to deal with. Ultimately, Kat’s help influenced not only my relationship with the children but also with my husband. We understand each other better now and above all, we can talk openly about our needs.
I recommend working with Kat to every mother. This program helped me overcome burnout, pay attention to myself and my needs, which made me have more strength and joy in everyday life.

I noticed a change right after the first session. I was relieved because I saw the “light at the end of the tunnel” and felt that I was finally doing something for myself and my family.
As a new mother, I often had moments when I felt that I was losing control, that I was unable to cope with stress, that there was a lot of growing anger inside of me, which was often targeted at my family members. The fear for my relationship with loved ones encouraged me to seek help and that was when I came across Mama always comes first. I noticed a change right after the first session. I was relieved because I saw the “light at the end of the tunnel” and felt that I was finally doing something for myself and my family. As time went on, it only got better: I got to know myself again, I realized how my psyche works and I developed strategies to reduce the presence of stress. Thanks to Kat, the person who was afraid that at any moment she would lose control and explode, and her anger would destroy the whole world, became a calm, composed mom who could take care of herself and her whole family, who could conduct a dialogue instead of a monologue, which influenced the comfort of all household members.

I hardly yell at my kids. 🙂 I’m so happy.
Thanks to Kat, I understand myself and my children, I know how to approach difficult situations in a new way and I can see that my whole family benefits from that. The best thing is I hardly yell at my kids. 🙂 I’m so happy!
